Our executive chef works with you to create a menu that best speaks to your overall vision for the event choosing bold and statement-making combinations. We make all arrangements for rental equipment (linens, china, crystal, garden tents, etc.) and coordinate directly with your venue, freeing you to enjoy the planning and hosting stages of the event.

Our skilled and certified chefs work to carefully create and prepare your menu items using only the freshest and in-season ingredients. Our staff of service professionals will make your guests feel welcome as they hand pass elegant handmade hors D’oeuvres, serve tableside or tend to your guests’ adult beverages.

MEET EXECUTIVE CHEF, SHARON LARAMIE
When I attended Quinnipiac University in Connecticut for
my undergraduate degree, I had a wonderful professor of music named Roger Ermili. He told us all that everyone
should visit Italy at least once in their life. He said it was
Europe’s Museum. I took that advice to heart. I’ve been a chef for many years now and I eventually found my way to Italy - Positano, Italy on the Amalfi coast - to be exact.
I went there to learn about the local cuisine, meet and be taught by Italian chefs and to discover the fundamentals of Italian cooking using only local and in-season ingredients.
I’m in love with the country, the food, the wine, the traditions and the way of life. I want to introduce my clients, both long-time and new, to La Dolce Vita. It is found in Italy. Join me on a 10 day culinary excursion that will change you forever. It may be your first trip to Italy but it certainly will not be your last!

A Word from our Chef:
In 2001, I opened A Perfect Thyme Gourmet Caterers based on my life-long love of entertaining and cooking. I met many wonderful people, worked in some of very exclusive homes in Connecticut and really honed my skills as a chef. I continue to own and operate that business today.

In 2010, I traveled to Italy and became trained in Southern Italian cuisine. The following year, I brought a a group of 10 friends to tour around with me, to share in my love for the place, the people, the culture and the food. Thus, A Perfect Thyme in Italy was born. By 2024, I had visited the Amalfi Coast 22 times.
​
I have been a boating enthusiast for much of my adult life and in 2025 I was presented with an opportunity to team up with Captain Ron Dio who had just purchased a 37' Carver Motor Yacht. A lifelong boating enthusiast, Capt Ron has more than 30,000 hours of logged experience cruising the CT River and Long Island Sound. And with that, A Perfect Thyme at Sea was launched.
